This game is by no means new, so your best bet is to pick up a copy for your PC on Steam. The storyline is heavily influenced by the conversations you have and the friendships you make along the way. Like a lot of Bioware games, going into the details is where it gets good. If you enjoyed the rich character building and dialogue of Mass Effect 3, then Dragon Age: Inquisition is a perfect game to satisfy your needs. The combat style between the two games is different, but not all that far off. Oh, and did we mention it’s also a Bioware game? Dragon Age: Inquisition is the third installment of the acclaimed BioWare series and it’s not even the best one - though it is still really good and you should play it. If you aren’t already a fan of Dragon Age, you should definitely think about jumping on the bandwagon. The Outer Worlds came out in late 2019, so it’s currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and the Nintendo Switch. It is also set in a more open-world arena where you get to decide your path and direction every time you land in a new area. Mass Effect isn’t in first person, and it makes a huge difference with you how proceed throughout the game. And while the most obvious similarity is that they are both set in space, where The Outer Worlds differs most is in the fighting style. And much like Mass Effect games, you have companions with you that you interact with on a regular basis and try to befriend.īoth games are RPGs that are heavily influenced by the storyline and the characters that follow you. Outerworlds is a first-person shooter game with a rich storyline. If you’re looking to expand your horizons beyond the Mass Effect series, however, there are some similar titles that can make that transition easier. With unique gameplay, storytelling, and character-building, finding more games like Mass Effect 3 is not an easy task. And while Mass Effect 3 is not the latest game in the franchise, it’s the absolute best one of the bunch.
The Mass Effect series was one of my favorite games to come out of Bioware.
